The Power of a Gift

December 12, 2016 blog

Do you remember what your favorite gift as a child was? I totally recall spending hours upon hours playing with my Fashion Plates. I had no idea that gift would drive my dreams as an adult. It’s that time of year that it is far better to give than to receive right?!? I know I’m a pain in the beautiful booty and ask and ask of you all the time – read my blogs, attend my events, consider my designs for your next look, but this time it’s different. I need your help. The Christmas and Hanukkah holidays are less than two weeks away and there are a few kiddos with open wish lists from All Faiths.

If you aren’t familiar with this local organization, All Faiths is leading behavioral health agency specializing in the prevention of child abuse and treatment toward trauma recovery. The mission is to serve as the premiere trauma healing center by empowering generations of New Mexicans to create healthy pathways to prevent and transcend the effects of trauma and abuse. They accomplish this mission through four core programs which include: Child, Family & Parent Therapy, Community Support Services, Family Wellness- Parenting Support & Education and our unique forensic interviewing program the Children’s Safehouse.

This will be updated as gifts they are claimed.

If you’d like to claim a gift on the list, email designer@hopelesscauseatelier.com.

I know it is the season of giving and if you gave to another organization, the Salvation Army, your place of worship or someone in need, THANK YOU!! I believe in the power of teaching someone to fish, but I also think acts of kindness have the power to change lives. You never know you may be providing a perfect inspirational gift for the next artist, quarterback, computer developer, architect or designer.

Until next time, with light, love and admiration!!
